April showers bring May funds for DACA Renewal Fees...or whatever the saying is.

If anyone in your life is a DACA peep, you're well aware that our subscription to the US costs us $495 every two years. DACA provides protection from deportation and the ability to work and drive legally. This process often requires legal assistance and is expensive. Applicants must submit a $495 fee along with their renewal applications. This renewal process can be stressful, a but lonely, and definitely financially demanding for recipients. Local organizations like Comite Sin Fronteras and Voces de la Frontera have been doing the good work of helping individuals fill out their paperwork, as well as raise funds for those in need of financial assistance to cover these application fees. You can help simply by purchasing your fav monthly features this month of May because proceeds of any featured item sale will benefit the Voces DACA Scholarship Fund. Starting off behind the bar, we've got the return of our bright and zingy Paloma Espresso Tonic

Grapefruit juice, lime juice, tonic water, agave, and espresso swirl together in this punchy and refreshingly tart espresso tonic. Just like her cocktail counterpart, she's for the adventurous at heart looking to keep the good times rolling.

Next up, our Agua Fresca this month is a sweet and refreshing Horchata de Mango

Everyone loves her. You can't go wrong with this bb. Our house made horchata with a touch of house made mango puree and agave to sweeten the deal just right. What's that? You can't live without the caffeine boost? Try is with a shot of matcha and thank us later <3

And finally on our drink list is a new kid on the block, a Topo Chico Preparado 😋😋

This little number features a house made tamarind syrup, lime juice, chamoy, Topo Chico, diced mango, and tajin. Whew, that's all in there and boy oh boy is it a mouth watering treat.

The May food menu boasts our usual Fish Taco Fridays. You've had them. You know they're delicious. Keep on enjoying them 💖

We also have our Chilaquiles back on the menu! Bright, zesty salsa verde smothering house made corn tortilla chips, all topped with queso fresco, two fried eggs, and sour cream. A treat you can enjoy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (well at least until 4pm when our kitchen closes).
