Eight Years of La Finca
We can't believe we've been at it for EIGHT whole years this month. It's been eight years full of our literal blood, sweat, and tears to build a place that is filled with so much warmth and community. We started this business when Lizeth was 24 and I was 22 years old. We had a vision- to create a space in our home away from home that highlights our culture, share's our grandfather's coffee, and above all welcomes everyone as a part of our family and pushes a sense of community and gathering. We saw coffee as an accessible vehicle for connection and building relationship and wanted a space that catered to that goal. So here sits our little coffee shop, off the shores of Lake Michigan and right behind the high school we both graduated from. It's a piece of our home here in the US, filled with the light we know from our Mexican roots back home. Being third culture kids has it's own set of challenges, but we hope that this space encapsulates that experience and welcomes you with open arms. To celebrate this milestone, we've got some fun shenanigans planned for 10/11 and 10/12.
Saturday 10/11 Customer appreciation day <3
Stop in for some delicious and free treats as a thank you for being so amazing to us these last 8 years. A lot of you have been with us since the beginning and we can't thank you enough.
Sunday 10/12 It's a Party! It's a Party! 9am-2pm
Join us for a day of guest appearances, your fav coffee drinks, and some music! Our wonderful friends Cuatro Uno Cuatro are dropping an all new limited edition Cuatro Uno Cuatro x La Finca t-shirt 9am-1pm. The delicious Press Waffles will be on site making the best waffles in the city from 9am-12pm. Torzala Brewing will be supplying the crispest brews from time TBD. Stop in, say hello, we hope to see you there! <3
Farmers Market Season
is officially here! We're so stoked to be able to catch you all at the South Shore Farmers Market and the Greenfield Farmers Market this season. You can find us at South Shore Park every Saturday morning 8am-12pm starting Saturday June 7 through October!
Midday Margaritas
No, not the patio pounders you're thinking of but a refreshing line of alcohol-free afternoon pick me ups with a bit of caffeine to get you through the rest of your day! These refreshers are perfect for when you want a little afternoon boost without the full commitment of a coffee or espresso drink. Each Midday Margarita contains about 45g of caffeine. These guys will rotate seasonally so keep an eye out for new options 🍹

An announcement so exciting it is deserving of it's own title. We heard your requests and read your petitions, August rings the start of a NEW weekly special. Every Wednesday, you can enjoy a rotating CRUNCH WRAP <3 <3
Our Crunch Wrap will rotate every month or so, bringing in new flavors and fillings to try. We're just as excited as you are, trust.

Spooky Szn to benefit AFSP
Our specials this month benefit the amazing and tireless work of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We're spotlighting the Milwaukee Walk on Saturday October 11, 2025 at Veterans Park. Check in starts at 12pm and the event gets rolling at 3pm. To learn more, participate, or donate directly, visit them here. A big shout out to Gina and the rest of the team that put so much effort year round into organizing and providing accessible resources to our community.
If you can't make it to the Walk and still want to find ways to support such a fantastic org, fret not, you can support by enjoying our not scarry at all food and drink features this month!

Your friendly neighborhood Microroaster
One of the many cool things to happen in 2024 is our Bellwether Roaster. Standing just over 6' tall, this pretty lady is handling all of our roasting operations IN HOUSE!
We're so excited to be partnering with Bellwether on this new chapter of our business. A fully electric, completely ventless design, this roaster helps to eliminated eliminate billions of pounds of CO2e in the coffee roasting process.
Direct Trade Coffee has been central to our mission since day one, aiming to directly impact the producers with our purchases. Bellwether shares this mission, connecting roasters to producers directly, establishing and nurturing relationships across borders.

If you've stopped in to visit on a Saturday you may have noticed a local vendor hanging out with us from 9am-1pm showcasing their goods. It's a part of our Brews & Roots pop up series where we invite one local maker to join us for FREE so you can meet the makers behind the craft and support LOCAL <3
