Your friendly neighborhood Microroaster
One of the many cool things to happen in 2024 is our Bellwether Roaster. Standing just over 6' tall, this pretty lady is handling all of our roasting operations IN HOUSE!
We're so excited to be partnering with Bellwether on this new chapter of our business. A fully electric, completely ventless design, this roaster helps to eliminated eliminate billions of pounds of CO2e in the coffee roasting process.
Direct Trade Coffee has been central to our mission since day one, aiming to directly impact the producers with our purchases. Bellwether shares this mission, connecting roasters to producers directly, establishing and nurturing relationships across borders.
Midday Margaritas
No, not the patio pounders you're thinking of but a refreshing line of alcohol-free afternoon pick me ups with a bit of caffeine to get you through the rest of your day! These refreshers are perfect for when you want a little afternoon boost without the full commitment of a coffee or espresso drink. Each Midday Margarita contains about 45g of caffeine. These guys will rotate seasonally so keep an eye out for new options 🍹
Fall lineup includes:
Cinnamon Plum Sangria
Campfire Cider
Cranberry Lemon Mule

As always, thank you for your commitment to staying involved in our community and supporting each other in all of the good work that gets done! You're amazing!
Giving Back to Project Concern
There's a lot of uncertainty as we head into November regarding SNAP benefits. This will impact around 700,000 Wisconsinites and it's time again for community to do what community does and pull together to make sure each one of us is taken care of. If you're looking for ways to help, donating your time or financial help is always appreciated by the many local organizations doing this work year round. Check out:
This month's features all benefit Project Concern and their efforts in providing food, clothing, resources, and much more to Saint Francis and Cudahy. Here's the lineup this month at the shop:
Behind the bar we're pouring up a Maple Pecan Horchata Latte. House made maple pecan syrup sweetens our house horchata, we add a bit of oat milk, espresso, and finish it off with house roasted cinnamon sugar pecans. We also have a very festive White Cranberry Cream Soda with a cranberry white chocolate sauce, soda water, caffeine syrup (adds about 48g of caffeine), and a spiced vanilla cold foam. Last but not least, we have the return of our Atole de Olla. Cafe de olla meets atole in this warm and spiced hug in a mug. Cinnamon, clove, star anise, coffee concentrate, piloncillo, and your choice of milk.
In the kitchen, they're cooking up an old fav that we're so excited to have back. Our Chipotle Cranberry Torta features a nice and smokey chipotle cranberry sauce, sliced red onion, pepper jack, and sliced turkey, all wrapped up in a toasty telera bread. YUM. And a new kid on the block, Jose cooked up a delicious Butternut Squash Soup. A puree of hearty butternut squash, carrots, veggies, herbs and creamy coconut milk, this bb will make your November nice and cozy.
